Lady Gaga has been engaged to fiancé Michael Polansky since 2024, and she just revealed that they will tie the knot ‘soon.’
The 39-year-old Grammy-winning singer teased the detail about her upcoming wedding while calling in to Bruno Mars’s Romantic Radio TikTok Live on Friday.
‘Me and my fiancé have been traveling all year, but we’re getting married soon. We were hoping you could choose a special song for us,’ Gaga said in a recorded message.
Mars, with whom she collaborated on the hit ballad Die With A Smile, chose a song from his new album The Romantic.
‘If you’re looking for a song to dedicate to your husband, I would say, off this new album of mine, I would go with Risk It All.
‘Track one. So, I want to dedicate this to Lady Gaga and her fiancé. Michael, this is for you too,’ he replied.
Last October the pop star admitted to Stephen Colbert on The Late Show that she is looking forward to motherhood.
When asked if she’d like to continue acting in movies or performing on Broadway, she answered, ‘I would like to do many things, yeah, all of these things. But, what I really want is to be a mom. That’s my next starring role, I hope.’
And she raved about her future spouse, ‘He’s my best friend in the whole world,’ adding that she feels ’empowered as a woman in music with a beautiful partner that has my back every day.’
Recalling their 2019 meeting, she shared, ‘He just blew me away from the minute that I met him. He always, I think, really saw me and I think I always really saw him.’
The couple was first romantically linked around New Year’s Eve 2019 and went Instagram official in early 2020.
Polansky is a 2006 graduate of Harvard University and is the executive director of Parker Foundation.
Throughout their years of dating, Gaga and Polansky have attended the Super Bowl, the BAFTAs, and the Critics Choice Awards together.
In August 2024 it was reported that wedding plans for the couple were underway and the prenup was being negotiated.
Last September Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – took to Instagram to publicly wish her husband-to-be a happy birthday.
She shared an intimate photo of them kissing while celebrating his special day.
And in a heartfelt caption, she wrote, ‘Happy Birthday to my honey.
‘I hope 42 is your best year yet. You have done so much in your 42 years. I am so proud of you every day — and so grateful for this day you came into the world, it was the most special day.’
She gushed, ‘This is my favorite day of the year! A crisp and almost rainy day, a long walk, with the backdrop of a sweet birthday smile and lots of laughter and angel food cake with chocolate sauce.’
Gaga concluded the sweet note by writing, ‘I love you,’ and adding a kiss emoji.
