Glamorous Kate Hudson and Teyana Taylor led the star parade at the Costume Designers Guild Awards on Thursday evening.
The two actors, who are both nominated for awards at the upcoming Oscars ceremony for their latest films, turned up the glamour in bright and bold looks.
The annual event was held at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday evening to recognize the outstanding achievements in costume design in film and television.
Many glamorous stylists and artists took the opportunity to showcase their personal style as they posed in front of the cameras.
There were also stars who skipped the red carpet moment — such as singer-songwriter Janelle Monae and filmmaker James Cameron — but later took the stage to present awards to the honorees.
The many award winners of the night included the costume designers who worked on films: One Battle After Another, Frankenstein and Wicked: For Good.
Costume designers working in television were recognized as well when with award winners including the artists behind The Studio, Palm Royale and Andor.
The ceremony was hosted by actress Courtney Hope, and the evening saw a number of special honorees as well.
Veteran costume designer Michelle Cole received the Career Achievement Award.
James Cameron was presented with the Distinguished Collaborator Award.
The Spotlight Award was received by Hudson, 46, and Taylor, 35, was honored with the Vanguard Spotlight Award.
For the special occasion, Hudson looked ethereal in a lilac purple, silk gown with asymmetrical draping for a stunning effect of the sheeny fabric cascading down her legs.
The Song Sung Blue star, who is in the running for the best actress Academy Award for her performance in the film, paired a silver, diamond-encrusted statement necklace to go with her glamorous garb.
Later, she was seen wearing a light brown, fur jacket over her shoulders for warmth and to jazz up her look even more.
She styled her freshly cropped, collarbone-length hair in a straight style with a sharp middle part.
For makeup, she matched her dress with a light purple eyeshadow paired with rosy cheeks and a matte pink lip to complete her look.
Taylor was a vision in a fabulous red gown with a structural, semi-sheer bodice with a silk skirt draped loosely around her hips to highlight her tiny waist.
As she glided along the red carpet, the train of the long skirt trailed behind her, and there were stylists assisting her to highlight the artistic piece.
The One Battle After Another star, who earned her first Oscar nomination in the best supporting actress category for her breakout performance, styled her jet black hair with a sleek side part and a bouncy curl at the ends for a fresh, chic look.
To show off her dress, she went for a neutral-toned makeup look with a glossy, chocolate brown lip gloss to top it all off.
Tracee Ellis Ross, 53, was also in attendance at the awards ceremony in another shiny and silky look.
The Girlfriends star exuded elegance in a peach-colored blazer with a waist-cinching and hip-defining silhouette.
She paired the jacket with a matching midi skirt and black stiletto pumps.
Monae was another A-list star at the event, and she made a stunning appearance on stage with her signature black-and-white look featuring gold, floral embellishments.
She gave a speech in front of the podium and simultaneously showed off her chic suit and tie paired with a preppy ponytail featuring a thick headband.
Hudson also joined Monae onstage to give a speech and even came prepared with her glasses as well as what she was going to say prepared on paper.
At one point, she also stood beside one of the stunning dresses she wore in Song Sung Blue.
She was pictured wrapping her arm around the mannequin as she showed off the scarlet red gown gilded with gold embroidery across the top and the long sleeves.
Later, Ross also took the stage as she presented an award alongside Michelle Cole.
The Emmy-nominated costume designer for Black-ish and Grown-ish among many others was pretty in a pink dress paired with white gloves.
James Cameron also attended the event and took the stage to receive his special recognition award alongside Deborah L. Scott.
Scott is an Oscar-winning costume designer who worked with him on Titanic and the Avatar film series.
She also worked on cult classics Back to the Future and E.T. Both Cameron and Scott went for a classic all-black look, aptly dressed for the black-tie event.
Jodie Turner-Smith also took the stage to give a speech.
The actress put on a leggy display in a white minidress with a dramatically plunging neckline with intricate embroidery to highlight the very low-cut design.
Other glamorous stars at the event included actress Katherine LaNasa.
The Emmy-winning actress, who stars in medical drama The Pitt, looked dazzling in a strapless gown that was covered in shimmering, gold sequins.
Christina Flannery, who was nominated for the Excellence in Contemporary Television award for her work in an episode of The Righteous Gemstones titled You Hurled Me Into the Depths, Into the Very Heart of the Seas.
For the event, she highlighted her fiery red hair and dramatic bangs with an all-black, leather outfit featuring dramatic ruffle details down the center and fur along the sleeves.
She carried a bright red bag to complement her hair and contrast her outfit for her eye-catching look.
Saturday Night Live alum and actress Sasheer Zamata walked the red carpet in a ethereal, royal blue dress.
Her vibrant gown featured a sheer, sparkly scarf layered on top of the silk slip and a collar at the top.
Kasia Walicka Maimone, who received an Excellence in Period Television nod for her work in The Gilded Age’s Marriage Is a Gamble episode.
She walked the red carpet in a one-shoulder dress with a balloon-silhouette paired with leather boots and a cream-colored shoulder bag.
Kameron Lennox was also in attendance at the event and took home the award for working on the CinemaCon episode of The Studio.
During the acceptance speech, she paid tribute to the recently passed Catherine O’Hara, per The Hollywood Reporter.
Lennox revealed that she and assistant designer Tyler Kinney were wearing some of the late and beloved actress’s jewelry in her honor as they accepted the award.
She walked the red carpet in a cream, Victorian-inspired blouse tucked into high-waisted silk pants.
Her statement piece was the gold pendant on her neck, which she matched to other subtle gold details of her outfit.
Oksana Nedavniaya was nominated twice in the same category of Excellence in Costume Illustration.
She was recognized for her work in both Palm Royale and Weapons.
The artist shimmered and sparkled in a long-sleeved dress bedazzled with sparkly gemstones.
She topped off her look with a clutch purse with a colorful peacock design made out of rhinestones.
Jennifer Johnson was nominated in the Excellence in Contemporary Film category for her work in Bugonia.
She modeled a classic, all-black outfit with many interesting details to elevate her look.
There were gold-painted designs on her structural, hip-defining dress, and she further accessorized with sheer opera gloves and chunky bracelets on top.
Sharon Gilham was nominated in the Excellence in Sci-Fi/Fantasy Television category for her work in The Wheel of Time, specifically the episode titled He Who Comes With The Dawn.
