Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) commissioner Cathy Engelbert has said the league is considering future expansion.

Speaking to media ahead of the WNBA draft on 15th April, Engelbert said adding more franchises is being considered.

As for which cities the league could target, Engelbert previously denied back in 2019 that the WNBA was in talks with Toronto.

Earlier this week, the WNBA unveiled its 2021 regular season schedule, tipping off on 14th May and concluding on 19th September.

Information on fan attendance will be provided by individual teams in conjunction with league and federal, state and local health and safety protocols.
