'The Last of Us' HBO Series Adds Gabriel Luna to Cast

The 'Terminator: Dark Fate' actor joins Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in the show based on the popular video game franchise.

Luna is set to play Tommy, Joel's (Pascal) younger brother, a former soldier who maintains a sense of idealism and hope in a post-apocalyptic world.

The Last of Us centers on the relationship between Joel, a hardened survivor of the collapse of modern civilization 20 years ago, and 14-year-old Ellie (Ramsey), whom he's hired to smuggle out of an oppressive quarantine zone.

Craig Mazin ( Chernobyl ) and Neil Druckmann, writer and creative director of the video game, are writing the series.

They executive produce with The Mighty Mint's Carolyn Strauss, Naughty Dog's Evan Wells, PlayStation Productions' Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan, and Rose Lam.

Luna's credits include Agents of SHIELD , HBO's True Detective , El Rey Network's Matador and Richard Linklater's feature Bernie .
