Heat's Erik Spoelstra on Victor Oladipo knee, 'still in information-gathering stage'

Coach Erik Spoelstra offered a limited update upon the Miami Heat’s Saturday arrival in Portland, Ore., on where the team stands with sidelined guard Victor Oladipo.

Oladipo was the lone Heat player not to make the trip for four-game trip that opens Sunday night against the Trail Blazers, after injuring his right knee in Thursday night’s victory over the Los Angeles Lakers at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Spoelstra said he appreciated the personal level of being separated from the Heat a week after Oladipo joined the team.

The Heat on Saturday used “right knee soreness” as the formal reason for Oladipo’s absence on the NBA’s injury report.

Tyler Herro resurfaced on the Heat injury report, listed as questionable with a sore right foot.

“He’s been working the last handful of days, one on one, just to get in better basketball shape,” Spoelstra said, with Dedmon signed Thursday but yet to see action with the team.
