As COVID ravages another NHL team, Coyotes managing virus control well

It's not clear if the Coyotes players, coaches and staff have been fully vaccinated, but most personnel on least one other NHL team, the Dallas Stars, have gotten all of their shots, according to several reports Sunday night.

Coyotes head coach Rick Tocchet was asked prior to the start of the Arizona-Anaheim Ducks game Sunday night if there's more of an emphasis on health and safety among his team, given the situation in Canada.

Coyotes forward John Hayden is averaging a fight every 2 ½ games he plays this season, after getting into a tussle with the Ducks' Nicolas Deslauriers on Friday night in Arizona's 4-2 win.

Arizona Coyotes left wing John Hayden, front, redirects a shot past Colorado Avalanche defenseman Samuel Girard as goaltender Philipp Grubauer, back, guards the net during the third period of an NHL hockey game Wednesday, March 31, 2021, in Denver.
