Rangers' offense silenced by Islanders as Mika Zibanejad's slow start continues

We’ve talked about this before, how so many things were going to have to break the right way for the Rangers this season.

Mika Zibanejad has a goal and two assists in 11 games.

His empty-net assist Thursday was his only point in his past eight games.

The Rangers are finally figuring out some issues, defending much better, limiting chances, killing penalties (15 of 15 and 18 of the past 19).

The Artemi Panarin-Ryan Strome duo has gotten it together again, with the help of a new-found right winger in Kaapo Kakko.

The power play has been mostly excellent, even if it let down the Rangers in a 2-0...
