Dayton vs. Rhode Island odds, pick: Flyers a live road underdog

There are notable major conference showdowns highlighted by Arkansas-Florida and Purdue-Michigan State, but I’m digging down the card a bit for some betting value.

The Flyers are not as explosive as the Obi Toppin-led version from last year, but have put together a commendable 11-6 season behind the likes of returning guards Jalen Crutcher and Ibi Watson.

The club’s offense has remained potent, posting an effective field goal percentage of nearly 55%, second best in A-10 play.

To that point, URI has struggled to turn their opponent over, posting the 11th highest turnover rate in conference play.

These are the top two teams at limiting opponent free throw opportunities, but in a game that is likely going to be close down the stretch, Dayton has a clear advantage.

I can’t get behind URI given their recent form, and Dayton is reliable enough to produce consistent offense to stay inside the number.
