Pistons' takeaways: Turnovers lead to downfall in Cleveland

Detroit is careless with the ball : Heading into the matchup the Pistons were aware that the Cavaliers lead the league in opposition turnovers.

When the Pistons returned from the half, they had three turnovers in the first 90 seconds, forcing Casey to take a timeout to settle the team.

Jerami Grant and Derrick Rose both said the team must keep things simple to cut down on the mistakes that put them in a hole.

Record-setting night : Despite their ball-control struggles, both Grant and Wayne Ellington continued to shine in their offensive roles.

While not a franchise or league record, Ellington extended his career-long streak with his seventh straight game with three or more 3-pointers made.

Los Angeles is currently second in the league in scoring, averaging 113.9 points per game, while banking 48.4 percent of its shots overall.
