Another game, another new starting lineup for Timberwolves in loss to Philadelphia

Anthony Edwards made his first start of his NBA career Friday night — taking the floor alongside D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, Ed Davis and Josh Okogie.

Wolves head coach Ryan Saunders has been left to shuffle the lineups all season as Minnesota has dealt with one injury or another.

Yes, every team is playing through COVID-19 times, but the Wolves, who fell 118-94 Friday to Philadelphia at Target Center, have been hit especially hard.

Naz Reid missed Friday’s game with wrist soreness after he fell awkwardly on his shooting hand in the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s loss to Golden State.

Reid isn’t believed to have any structural damage to the wrist beyond a sprain, but he is said to be experiencing pain in the shooting hand.

Embiid beat up on an understandably overmatched Ed Davis all night in the post, finishing with 37 points and 18 rebounds while not playing in the fourth quarter.
