The cornerback position is deep this year, but should the right player be available in the first round the Cleveland Browns could jump at the opportunity to give Denzel Ward a counterpart on the other side of the field.

Stokes has high expectations entering the season and hasn’t been able to meet them which is why he falls to the Browns here.

While the interceptions are new this year, he’s always had a knack for finding the ball, registering 22 passes defended over 31 games with Georgia.

Stokes has a lot of potential and his ball-hawking ability is something the Browns’ defense has lacked a bit this year.

Taking him to play opposite of Ward is a great way to start this 2021 NFL mock draft.
