See how Hoban reached its fifth OHSAA state final in six years

PARMA, Ohio — Archbishop Hoban is back in the state championship game for a fifth time in six years.

A 28-14 win Friday night against Avon at Byers Field in Parma punched Hoban’s ticket with a relentless defense that gave up only 56 yards rushing and didn’t allow versatile quarterback Niko Pappas to do much with his legs.

Pappas was the Knights' focus, and they now turn their attention to Massillon in next week’s OHSAA Division II state football final at 7 p.m. Friday.

The stage will be Fortress Obetz, which is the host of this year’s title games.

See how Hoban, the top-ranked team in Northeast Ohio and all of the state for Division II, reached another title game with the videos above and below.
