Deadlines set: When to send your holiday packages

Postal Service encourages people to send holiday gifts and cards early, and this year is no different.

The USPS has added Sunday delivery beginning Nov. 29 to locations with high-package volumes.

Mail carriers will also deliver packages for an additional fee on Christmas Day in select locations.

The USPS said the busiest time of the season peaks two weeks before Christmas, when much of the last-minute shopping starts.

The USPS said, in these socially distant times, people can go to to use the Click-N-Ship feature to ship holiday gifts, order free Priority Mail boxes, print shipping labels, buy postage and request free next-day Package Pickup.
