Second Half: NYCFC 1, Columbus 2

In a game where City seemed to only sporadically gain momentum, Columbus remained consistent and were able to put three goals past NYCFC’s typically stout defense.

To add insult to injury, Taty Castellanos and Maxime Chanot both received yellow cards making them ineligible for next weekend’s game against Montreal.

Gary Mackay-Steven starts out on the wing while Alex Ring remains in the defensive midfield alongside Keaton Parks.

The story: Coming off of what could be considered a clutch draw on the road against Orlando City, New York City FC continue their road trip as they travel to Ohio to take on the Columbus Crew.

But as of recently, New York City has been steadily on the rise while Columbus begins to fall into a late season slump.

With the team regaining the talents of star playmaker Maxi Moralez in time for this Sunday evening battle, NYCFC could be in prime position to continue their late season push and capitalize on the Crew’s recent misfortunes.
