Denver Broncos RB Melvin Gordon arrested on DUI charge

According to court records, police said Gordon’s speech was slurred, his eyes were watery and his breath had a “moderate smell” of alcohol, KUSA reported.

Gordon consented to a field sobriety test and performed unsatisfactorily, officers said.

According to the probable cause statement, Gordon exhibited “validated indicators of impairment.”

“We are aware of the situation involving Melvin Gordon," the Broncos said in a statement on Wednesday morning.

“I didn’t want him practicing today until we get to the bottom of everything,” Broncos coach Vic Fangio said in a Zoom media call Wednesday.

The Broncos are scheduled to play the New England Patriots in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on Sunday.
