Clarkston's offensive line leads comeback in 24-21 OT win over West Bloomfield

After all, Clarkston would not have captured its 24-21 comeback overtime win over rival West Bloomfield if it weren’t for the efforts of the big boys in the trenches.

Rocco Spindler (Notre Dame) and Garrett Dellinger (LSU) are the big NCAA DI players on the Clarkston offense line.

A few plays later, Clarkston sophomore running back Ethan Clark burst through the middle of the line for a 16-yard touchdown to tie the game at 21-21 with 10:16 left in the fourth quarter.

Clark piled up the yardage in the fourth quarter, grinding away as the Wolves offensive line continued to pave the way into the West Bloomfield defense.

West Bloomfield’s overtime drive was not any better, as a -5 yard loss on a fumble and two incomplete passes set up the game-deciding field goal attempt that fell short after a low snap.

West Bloomfield quarterback Alex Short tossed an interception to Clarkston linebacker Caleb Stalworth on the first offensive play of the game.
