Juan Soto named National League Player of the Week for the first time in his career

Soto led the National League in slugging percentage (1.077), OPS (1.610) home runs and RBI during the week.

Additionally, he recorded his first multi-homer game of the season and sixth of his career on Wednesday against the Mets when he went 3-for-4 on the night.

During the week, the Nats posted a 4-2 record, splitting 2-2 with the Mets and winning their series with the Orioles 2-1.

This is the first time Soto has been recognized as Player of the Week, and he is the first National to bring home the award this season.

Despite only appearing in 11 of the team's 19 games this season, he is tied for fifth in home runs in the NL.

So far, he is 17-for-40 (.425) with three doubles, six homers, 14 RBI, five walks, one stolen base, 13 runs and has hit safely in 9-of-11 games.
