MCCARTHY: Bryson a unicorn? ... COVID-19 hits tour ... Happy Father's Day

Bryson DeChambeau and John Daly fill out a golf shirt in very different ways, but they have more than one thing in common, they hit their drives past everyone and eat whatever they want.

DeChambeau has quickly become one of the biggest stories of the PGA Tour restart with his incredible physical transformation, gaining 20 pounds of muscle since quarantine began and adding 20 yards to his drives since last season.

There are no hub cities in golf, and despite bubble hotels and charter jets made available, players and caddies are free to travel however and stay wherever they want.

While players testing positive is the bigger news story, it’s likely a broader increased threat in host cities that could potentially jeopardize the summer schedule.

FATHER’S DAY SUNDAY There was plenty of speculation that Tiger Woods was going to play the RBC Heritage after his yacht Privacy was spotted not far from Hilton Head, South Carolina.

His game looked great during the one-day made-for-TV event with Phil Mickelson, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, but it’s most likely golf fans won’t see him until Jack Nicklaus’ Memorial tournament July 16-19 … Speaking of Dads, sporting two fake hips and two days before going in for knee replacement surgery, my old man carded a Father’s Day 91.
