Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison, casinos across the country close due to coronavirus

Casino leadership met Monday to discuss the latest information released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.

In Milwaukee, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino announced it was suspending operations due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“At this time, the health and safety of our guests and the 2,700 team members at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino is the top priority,” the property’s general manager Rodney Ferguson said to our news partners in Milwaukee at WTMJ.

“It is now apparent that this is a public health crisis that requires major collective action if we are to slow its progression,” said Jim Murren, chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts, in a statement to CNN.
