To top it all off, Immanuel Quickley hit a step-back, mid-range jumper to tie the game with four seconds left only to see a banked in three pointer fall in as time expired to give the Gamecocks the win.

Those offensive rebounds killed Kentucky throughout the night, resulting in plenty of second chance point opportunities.

Turnovers ... Winning on the road against a highly-motivated team is a lot harder when you turn the ball over 15 times.

Anyway, it’s a weird season in college basketball and while this loss isn’t good and will definitely hurt seeding, I don’t think it’s anything that warrants a major reaction.

This team is still good and will contend for the SEC and should be in a position to make some noise in March.

Martin thinks Kentucky still has a lot of good basketball left to play.
