Next Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC Character Will Be Revealed In A Livestream This Week

Game director Masahiro Sakurai will unveil the character during a livestream that is set to take place on Thursday, January 16, at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET.

According to the Nintendo Versus Twitter account, the livestream will run for approximately 35 minutes and feature an "in-depth look" at the upcoming DLC character.

Ultimate as part of the game's Fighters Pass, and the sixth total to be released to date (including Piranha Plant, who was offered as a free bonus to early adopters).

The previous four Fighters Pass characters are Persona 5's Joker, Dragon Quest's Hero, Banjo and Kazooie, and Fatal Fury's Terry Bogard.

Each new Smash DLC character is typically released alongside a new stage and several music tracks taken from their series.

Nintendo also recently rolled out a minor update for Smash Ultimate that added support for the upcoming Dark Samus and Richter Belmont Amiibo figures.
