Montrealer Chris Boucher makes history with champion Raptors

And it means if not the world to him, the country matters to the young Raptor from Montreal.

Boucher is the seventh Canadian to win an NBA championship, some of them multiple winners in the past.

Bill Wennington won three titles with the Michael Jordan Chicago Bulls.

Pseudo-Canadian Rick Fox won three titles with the Lakers, while Mike Smrek backed up Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on two championship teams in Los Angeles.

Joel Anthony won twice with the Miami Heat while Cory Joseph and Tristan Thompson each played a part with NBA champions in San Antonio and Cleveland, respectively.

For his part, Boucher, the youngster from Montreal, has enjoyed the excitement around the Raptors even if he’s really not played in the playoffs.
