Cubs place Carl Edwards Jr. on 10-day IL with left thoracic strain


The live streaming service is currently available to customers of Comcast/Xfinity, DIRECTV, DISH Network, AT&T U-verse, Mediacom, RCN, WOW!, Time Warner Cable and Charter among numerous other carriers.


At 6:30 PM, the network will deliver an on-site edition of Baseball Night in Chicago presented by Jet’s Pizza with host Leila Rahimi (@leilarahimi), analysts Ozzie Guillen (@OzzieGuillen) & David DeJesus , along with up-to-the-minute pregame reports via Chuck Garfien (@ChuckGarfien) & Kelly Crull (@KellyCrull) who will provide a complete series preview, interviews with players and coaches, fan interaction in and around the ballpark, and much more (NOTE: Both shows will take place from The Brickhouse Tavern located just outside of Wrigley Field).


Wednesday’s (June 19) game at Wrigley Field will be “White Sox telecast” on NBC Sports Chicago featuring the announcing tandem of Jason Benetti (@jasonbennetti) & Steve Stone (@stevestone), along with in-game reports provided by Garfien & Crull.


10:30 PM – Outside the Ivy presented by Supercuts – Hosts Michael Cerami, Danny Rockett, and Luis Medina recap the game from their perspective, which will include fan interaction via Facebook Live.


From a social media standpoint, NBC Sports Chicago will provide a multitude of Crosstown “Sights & Sounds” moments leading up to and throughout both game days via Facebook Live (Facebook.com/NBCSChicago), Twitter (@NBCSCubs & @NBCSWhiteSox), along with additional photos/quick video offerings from ‘NBCSChicago’ through Instagram .


A day after Steve Cishek suffered a bizzare injury playing long toss, the Cubs placed Carl Edwards Jr. on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to June 10) with a left thoracic strain.
