Ariana Grande Fans Are Defending Her Choice Not to Mention Mac Miller at a Show in His Hometown of Pittsburgh

Following stops in Los Angeles , New York , and even Coachella , on June 12, the “7 Rings” singer played a sold-out show at Pittsburgh’s PPG Paints Arena, seemingly without a direct mention of the rapper, per the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

After the newspaper shared its article calling out Ari for not paying homage to Mac in his hometown, fans started to flood the comment section to support Ari’s decision.

“It’s hard enough that ariana has to perform in mac’s home town, which brings back so many memories for her, but now you expect her to pay some huge tribute to him?

she has to deal with the pain of losing him every single day, and yet you can’t even consider how she feels?” one user commented after seeing the article.

She even kicked off this tour paying a subtle tribute to Mac by playing his music at her venues, and according to fans in attendance, her Pittsburgh stop was no different.

And couldn’t even sing 'Malcom' without choking up,” a fan commented in response to the article.
