Carlos Carrasco

Cleveland Indians' Carlos Carrasco leaves game with bruised left knee

Carrasco stayed in the game to finish the inning, but was replaced by Neil Ramirez to start the fifth.

Carrasco retired the first 11 batters he faced before Brian Anderson singled to right for the first hit of the game with two out in the fourth.

Neil Walker sent a ground-ball single to first that Santana bobbled before making a low throw to first that Carrasco couldn’t handle as the ball skidded into foul territory.

Manager Terry Francona and trainer James Quinlan checked on Carrasco, who stayed in the game after throwing a warm up pitch.

Ramirez started in his place and gave up three runs in the fifth, including a first-pitch homer to Jorge Alfaro.
