The Bearcats reached the semis by overcoming an eight-point deficit in the first half of their quarterfinal game with SMU and winning by eight, 82-74.

Fortunately for UC, the Cougars will have to get by Memphis who could pack 17,000 in the FedEx Forum Saturday afternoon.

Markis McDuffie is the only Wichita State player on the roster who played against UC last year in the regular season finale at Koch Arena.
