Zavier Simpson's triple-double powers Michigan past Ohio State

Jordan Poole (15 points) and Isaiah Livers (12) each hit three 3s, as Michigan drained 10 triples for the second straight game.

Poole took a charge on one end and hit a 3 at the other to push Michigan's lead to 44-33 at the 12:35 mark, imploring the Crisler crowd with each achievement.

He missed a chance to tear the roof off the building with a 3 after Simpson's chase down block on Wesson led to a fast break.

The other Wolverines to accomplish the feat are Derrick Walton Jr., Caris LeVert, Darius Morris, Manny Harris, and Gary Grant.

Ohio State jumped out to a 12-6 lead by the first stoppage, getting seven points from Kaleb Wesson and forcing Michigan into 3-of-10 shooting.

The Wolverines closed the half on a 7-0 run -- a Simpson layup, a Brazdeikis transition 3, and a Matthews tipback off his own miss -- to take a 32-26 lead into the locker room.
