Vince Carter might be playing at Nets for last time

Vince Carter still hasn’t announced whether this — his 21st NBA season — will be the final one of his career, but Wednesday’s game could have been the Atlanta forward’s last time playing at Barclays Center.

Carter, who made three of his eight All-Star appearances with the New Jersey Nets from 2004-09, posted three of the top seven single-season scoring averages in franchise history in his four-plus seasons with the team.

“Ooh, just a great player,” Nets coach Kenny Atkinson said before Wednesday’s game against Carter and the Hawks.

“I think for a lot of people it’s been his athleticism, but as a coach I’ve really appreciated what a smart player he was, how his shot kept improving.

“We’ll see what happens at the end of the year, but I feel good,” Carter said earlier this week.

2 ranked player in three-point shooting percentage (48.2), and DeMarre Carroll (knee) were available after the two veterans had missed Monday’s loss to Boston.
