Kentucky-Vanderbilt was a contender vs. a clown show

Challenged to sum up Vanderbilt men’s basketball in one play, one could resort to any number of clanged free throws, defensive matador impersonations and unsightly turnovers – the Commodores had 22 of those alone in Saturday’s 31-point loss at Oklahoma, which is especially awful when considering a grand total of seven assists.

UK freshman guard Tyler Herro has what appears to be an easy layup, but Vanderbilt junior forward Clevon Brown flies in to swat it away.

Vanderbilt sophomore forward Matthew Moyer sees it bouncing toward the sideline and lunges, grabbing it just in time and flinging it backward.

In fact, consistent performances anywhere in the realm of the last two and this sucker will reach 20 – ending with an instant exit at the SEC Tournament at Bridgestone Arena, and leaving this team at 9-23 and Drew at 40-59 after three seasons.

Drew has a young team fumbling in the dark for answers and a new AD starting this week and a whole bunch of work ahead to improve this situation to embarrassing.
