Johnnie Dixon to play in the 2019 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl

Dixon was a four-star prospect coming out of Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and the country's ninth-best receiver in the 2014 recruiting class according to the 247Sports Composite.

He played in one game as a true freshman in 2014, carrying the ball four times for 20 yards, and eventually redshirted.

The next year, Dixon again only played in one contest, the season opener against Virginia Tech, recording one catch for 29 yards.

Dixon entered the year feeling good but by the end of the season, knee pain had flared up and the wideout was sidelined.

Like his receiver teammates, Dixon benefitted from the big arm of quarterback Dwayne Haskins and a change in offensive focus in 2018.

Although he didn't put up the numbers he dreamed of, Dixon, along with fellow senior receivers Parris Campbell and Terry McLaurin , became important team leaders for the Scarlet and Gray over the last two years.
