Graham Harrell to leave UNT, become USC's new offensive coordinator

Update, 12:16 a.m., Jan. 29: The Denton Record-Chronicle's Brett Vito reports that UNT's Graham Harrell has finalized a deal to take over as offensive coordinator at USC on Monday night.

Not long after USC lost out on one offensive coordinator from Texas Tech, the Trojans picked up another.

20 in the nation in total offense last season, averaging 460.5 yards per game.

Harrell just finished his third season with North Texas and led the Mean Green to a tie for the top scoring offense in Conference USA, averaging 34.6 points per game.

During his playing career at Texas Tech, Harrell completed 69.8 percent of his passes for 15,793 yards and 134 touchdowns with an average quarterback rating of 154.3.

His NFL career never panned out, as he completed 2-4 passes for 20 yards in three seasons with the Green Bay Packers.
