BX: How Zac Taylor connected at UC resonated with those who knew him well

Indications from multiple sources inside the Bengals state what you would expect, that Taylor blew the hiring committee away in his interview last weekend in Los Angeles.

It goes back to the natural ability to teach and connect Taylor showed those he worked with at UC three years ago.

“A very good communicator and teacher,” Suriano said, who experienced his teaching firsthand when Taylor taught the coaching staff his offensive concepts upon his arrival.

Suriano suggests Taylor won’t enter the facility and be about screaming and yelling and letting everyone know there’s a new boss in town.

The very mention of a hiring a young, inexperienced coach makes Bengals fans shiver thinking of Dave Shula.

John Harbaugh, Doug Pederson, Matt Nagy, Ron Rivera and Sean McDermott don’t necessarily go directly back to Reid’s offensive mind and quarterback wizardry but the ability to connect and teach.
