'Real Housewives of New Jersey' premiere recap: No deportation, but plenty of ...

With Joe away in prison (and, unbeknownst to her, about to be marked for deportation ), Teresa soldiers on as the sole head of her Towaco household.

Her father, who moved in after her mother's death, steps in as a supportive presence, trying in earnest to help out by making bacon for breakfast (even when the girls tell him he burned it .. aw).

In Joe's absence, Teresa decides to enter a bikini fitness competition and begins bodybuilding with the help of a trainer who informs her that she must commit to cardio sessions twice per day, despite her obligations.

Teresa Giudice is the sole wife standing from the first season, with the exception of Danielle Staub, who returns in her part-time "friend of the 'wives" role.

"RHONJ" wastes no time in getting to the nitty gritty: Margaret Josephs' mother, Marge Sr., gets a "vaginal rejuvenation" procedure at her gynecologist's office.

A mother of five children ranging in age from 5 to 13, Jennifer (tagline: "I'm obsessed with family, traditions and Chanel") comes on the scene in "RHONJ" with a story about how she was set to have an arranged marriage.
